The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine the discourses aboutthe future of Malmö City Library expressed by the chief librariansSven nilsson and Elsebeth Tank. Furthermore, our intention is tostudy the relation between the two. The questions posed in thestudy are: how does chief librarian Sven nilsson express the futureof Malmö public library between 1989-1997? How does chieflibrarian Elsebeth Tank express the future of Malmö City Librarybetween 2008-2010? How does Sven nilsson?s and ElsebethTank?s thoughts and visions of the future correlate?Our theoretical and methodical building ground is in the discourseanalytical field, with Ernesto Laclau?s and Chantal Mouffe?stheories about discourse and society, as startingpoint.

Uppsatsen syftar till att lyfta fram bilderboksillustratören som konstnär och framförallt peka på Sven Nordqvists stil. Detta görs genom tre olika analyser. Först en ikonotextuell analys där text-och bildsamspelet undersöksi Nordqvists böcker.En bildanalays försöker utröna speciella stildrag i böckernas illustrationer och ytterligare en analys försöker se sambandet mellan omslag, försättsblad, titelsida och själva berättelsen..

Jag ville skriva om Sven Ljungberg och undersöka hur han arbetar, och på vilket sätt han lyckats att bli profet i sin egen hemstad. Man träffar på hans konst på många platser, till exempel utsmyckningen av predikstolen i Hinneryds kyrka. Förutom att det finns ett museum i hans namn har det skrivits mycket både av och om Sven Ljungberg. Till exempel utkom 1985 Anne Lidéns biografi Sven Ljungberg, målare. Jag vill karakterisera den som en hyllning till hela konstnärskapet.

The aim of this thesis is to study the Swedish art field during the 1980s, from the perspective of the artistic production of Lars Nilsson. During this decade he became one of the most well known young artists associated with postmodernism.The thesis is divided into three parts, where the first part examines different influences and aspects of the art of Lars Nilsson, as well as the contexts he was a part of. This is performed through a chronological as well as a categorizing presentation, based upon different exhibitions where Nilsson participated during the 1980s.In the second part the subject is the Swedish art field, and how Lars Nilsson came to be part of a a new established category of a young generation of artists, mostly born in the 1950s, who were associated with youth, postmodernism and contemporaneousness. This part also puts attention to the importance of Lars Nittve, then art critic and curator, in introducing postmodernism, as well as establishing this new categorization of artists in Sweden.The last part of the thesis studies four different group exhibitions, and how they all exemplify how "a younger generation of artists" were to be connected with notions of postmodernism and contemporaneousness through curatorial practice. Lars Nilsson participated at the thirst three of these exhibitions.

The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between text and picture in two works by Sven Nordqvist, with the focus on how the action is propelled. The two works are compared in order to bring out any differences in the relationship and what significance this can have for the interpretation. The study also considers the theory of conceptual worlds to examine how the books can promote pupils? literary understanding. The method of analysis is based on Rhedin?s (2001) theoretical concepts and elements of Nikolajeva?s (2000) terminology.

Uppsatsen behandlar Helsingborgs konserthus och funktionalismen. Med denna byggnad som exempel på tidig funktionalism diskuteras denna stilriktning och dess historiska referenser med ett fokus på relationen till klassicismen. Uppsatsen inleds med ett avsnitt om arkitekten Sven Markelius och en beskrivning av konserthusets tillkomst. Sedan belyses de samtida idéströmningar som präglade arkitekten och denna period av arkitekturhistorien. Därefter följer en deskriptiv analys av konserthuset och dess former.

To exemplify the last-mentioned I have studied the voices of the three singers Jenny Lind,  Christina Nilsson and Signe Hebbe (there are no recordings of any of them).The essay contains two major parts. In the first I describe the technique of the Garcia- and Lamperti-schools and their views on registers, vibrato and messa di voce, ending with a summarizing analysis of the 19th century vocal ideals.

The aim of this thesis is to examine Sven Almqvist?s research on the 17th century book printer Johann Kankel who was employed by count Per Brahe the younger on the island of Visingsö. A model to describe the communications circuit, constructed by book historians Thomas R. Adams and Nicolas Barker are used as well as the historical source criticism method. This model consists of the five phases: publication, manufacture, distribution, reception and survival.

Bakgrunnen for dette prosjektet henger sammen med at min orgellærer, professor Hans-Ola Ericsson, introduserte meg for ?Magnificat?, et av orgelstykkene til den svenske komponisten Torsten Nilsson (1920-1999). Musikken til Nilsson tiltalte meg, og jeg ønsket derfor å innstudere flere av hans stykker. This Bachelor?s thesis examines and describes the governmental cultural policy in Sweden. The relation between the state and the market in society is in focus. Earlier research is used to describe the development of cultural policy in Sweden after the world war two until today. Two governmental bills are examined and described, one from 1974 and one from 2009.

Democracy has been a part of the Swedish society for a long period of time and it is also a part of the Swedish elementary school curriculum, in which you can find a number of statements that expresses that the Swedish elementary school should socialize the children into becoming role model citizens. This also conjures with the available research that describes schools in general as socializing. This led me to a question that hasn?t been answered: How much of the curriculums reasons for socialization the pupils are based on democratic values and how much of it can be dated back to events prior to the curriculum?The methodological approach is an analysis of ideologies as described by Sven-Eric Liedman and Ingemar Nilsson in Ideologi och ideologianalys. The text is focusing on the fact that a text has two layers; one is the manifest which is roughly the same as explicit or present in the text.

The paper also seeks to explain how employees work to make the facilities more efficient in a municipality.Methodology: The authors use a qualitative method with open interviews.Theoretical perspectives: The choice of theory was made with the field of management control and facility efficiency in mind. The theory therefore includes management by objectives, internal rents and reward systems, motivation and communication within organizations.Empirical foundation: The organization has undergone a reorganization 2010/2011. There are no clear incentives to reduce facility costs.
